January 26 marks the 116th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Fedorovych Teslenko, a well-known educator, specialist in mathematics teaching methods, the first Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences in Ukraine in the field of mathematics teaching methods, the author of classification of the educational use of visual aids in geometry and geometric devices, manuals in mathematics teaching methods.

On 4 October 2019 a delegation from China visited V.O. Sukhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine. 14 educationalists came to Ukraine to get acquainted with the places associated with the name of the outstanding Ukrainian teacher Vasyl Oleksandrovych Sukhomlynskyi. His well-known name is respected by teachers of the People’s Republic of China.

On 6th September 2018 V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine, the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, took part in organising and holding an All-Ukrainian round table under the title ‘Mykola Dmytrovych Yarmachenko’s contribution to the development of Ukrainian education and pedagogical science (commemorating the 90th anniversary of his birth)’. It was held in the conference hall at the Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.

the librarians arranged a book exhibition under the title ‘Pedagogy and Psychology’ exhibited from 10th September by 23rd September.  The journal was established by the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in 1993 and published by Pedahohichna Presa Publishing House.

On 10-11 September 2018 V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine, the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, took part in scientific and practical conference under the title ‘Ukrainian and Polish psychological and pedagogical research: synchronism and diachrony’ held at Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University. The researchers from the Ignatianum Academy, Krakow, Poland, took part in the conference.
