Department of Digital Technologies and Computer Software
The Department of Digital Technologies and Computer Software conducts fundamental and applied research aimed at achieving scientific or scientific-applied results – new knowledge obtained in the process of scientific research and documented in information carriers in the form of reports, scientific papers, scientific reports, scientific notifications on the results of scientific research, scientific discoveries, etc.
The department was formed in 2023 through the reorganization of the ICT sector and scientometric support of the educational information-analytical department.

Department’s Objectives
The department aims to ensure the library’s functions according to its purpose and place in the system of other scientific, educational, cultural-enlightenment, and information institutions and organizations as a national sectoral repository, all-Ukrainian scientific-informational, scientific-methodical, and coordination center of the network of educational libraries of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, including scientific-technical support for the organization and efficient use of information resources, information-bibliographic servicing, scientific-methodical work, etc.

- Conducting mass scientific-practical events.
- Relations with mass media and the public.
Main Tasks of the Department
- Conducting scientific research on the implementation of advanced information and communication technologies (ICT) in the library’s work, including research on the ontological approach to creating and systematizing electronic resources.
- Ensuring the operability, configuration, and modification of the web portal and other electronic resources of the Library.
- Consultative and methodological assistance to the Library staff and the network of educational libraries of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.
- Expanding cooperation with libraries of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, educational institutions of various accreditation levels, and other organizations in the following areas:
– Expertise (review) of articles, manuscripts of scientific production, etc.
– Participation in scientific conferences, seminars, competitions, exhibitions, and other mass events.
– Publication in foreign scientific publications of research results that are not confidential information.
