April 16 marks the 185^rd anniversary of birth of Khrystyna Danylivna Alchevska, a Ukrainian pedagogue, public education figure, organizer and head of Sunday schools, primary school methodologist, author of adult education methods, founder and teacher of Kharkiv Women’s Sunday School.
