In 2019 the research ‘Methodological principles of development of education libraries as an important component of educational environment’ was conducted at V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine. Within the framework of this research the scientists of the Department for providing scientific and methodical support to education libraries prepared the statistical reference book Leading education libraries in space and time: monitoring of their activity : statistical reference book. It is aimed at carrying out scientific and methodical monitoring of the activity performed at the leading education libraries during the period from 2017 to 2018.  The reference book presents the analytical reviews covering the activity of certain types of education libraries, generalises the information about cooperation between V.O. Sukhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine and leading education libraries, and introduces printed matter prepared by the leading education libraries.

The reference book is useful for library workers, methodologists of education and science departments at regional and town state administrations, and other specialists engaged in providing information support to pedagogical science and practice.
