26 January 2018 marked the 110th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Fedorovych Teslenko (1908 – 1994), a Ukrainian pedagogue, specialist in methods of teaching mathematics, the first Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences in Ukraine in the field of mathematics, author of the classification of using manuals on geometry, geometrical instruments, and manuals on methods of teaching mathematics. He produced more than 300 works; among them were textbooks for secondary schools and teachers’ training institutes, and manuals for secondary school pupils, teachers and students of higher education teachers’ training institutions.
