Anton Semenovych Makarenko was a Ukrainian and Russian teacher-innovator, classic of the 20th century world pedagogy, creator of the new methods for educational work with children’s group, writer, organiser and head of the juvie near Poltava and F. Dzerzhynskyi children’s labour commune, author of Marsh 30 goda (The 1930th march), Pedagogicheskaya poema (Pedagogical poem, often titled The Road to Life in English translations), Kniga dlya roditelej (A book for parents), Metodika organizatsyi vospitatelnogo protsessa (Methods of organisation of educational process), and Problemy shkolnogo sovetskogo vospitaniya (Problems of the Soviet school education).
