November 14 marks the 143^rd anniversary of birth of Hryhoriy Pylypovych Sherstyuk, an educator, public figure, founder of the publishing house «Ukrayinskyi vchytel» and the first Ukrainian pedagogical journal «Svitlo», a publicist.
