Abstract

The article deals with the historiographic analysis of the study of the problem of Ukrainian language as an educational discipline in the history of development of the basic school in Ukraine (1945–1991). There are four thematic blocks in the development of the problem: 1-st – «Study of Ukrainian language in the context of historical-pedagogical researches, history of education and pedagogical thought»; 2-
nd – «The problem of Ukrainian language as an educational discipline in the context of studying the methodology of Ukrainian language and literature»; 3-rd – «Ukrainian language as an educational discipline in the context of considering the history of Ukrainian language, issues of linguistics»; 4-th – «Questions of periodization of the history of Ukrainian literary language and educational processes». The works, which we belong to the first thematic block have been analyzed.
