Ukrainian children’s periodicals of the 20s - early 40s of the xx century in the found of the V. O. Sukhomlynsky state scientific and pedagogical library of Ukraine: scientific and informational aspect
Abstract
The information review of the recently published catalog “Ukrainian children's periodicals of the 20s – early 40s of the 20th century. in the fund of the V. Sukhomlynskyі State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine”, in which an array of Ukrainian periodicals for children of the mentioned chronological period is comprehensively presented as part of the source complex on the history of education, upbringing, pedagogical thought, children's literature to enrich the source base of scientific studies is done in article. The state of research of children's periodicals is analyzed. The updating of the arrangement of reference and bibliographic publications are determined.
The purpose of the article is definition of the structure, thematic range, and information content of the catalog, which systematizes bibliographic information about 9 children's magazines: “Little Bolsheviks” (“Bilshovycheniata”), “Be alert!” (“Bud Napohotovi!”), “Happy team” (“Vesela Bryhada”), “Children’s movement” (“Dytiachy Rukh”), “A friend of children” (“Druh Ditey”), “October shoots” (“Oktiabrskie vskhody”), “Pioneria”, “Red Flowers” (“Chervoni kvity”). Information certificates about the investigated journals are created. Their content is analyzed. The characteristic and specific features are determined. It was established that the informational content of the publications presented in the catalog illustrates the influence of ideological propaganda on the education of a person in the Soviet era, the formation of a citizen's personality in the conditions of one-sided coverage of the events of social-political and public-cultural life.
The importance of the catalog in the information provision of scientific studies for the objective coverage and rethinking of the history of education in the Soviet period is argued. Further prospects for popularization of the catalog and creation of digital content of the magazines presented in it are described. The article is supplemented with systematized information about the availability of children's magazines by year and number in the fund of the V. Sukhomlynskyі State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine
