O. Sukhomlynskyi\u2019s Collection"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2002 \u2013 2003 V.O. Sukhomlynskyi\u2019s family gave SSPL of Ukraine 3,393 items of documents, namely: outstanding teacher\u2019s personal works published in the Ukrainian and 50 foreign languages, materials about his life and work in the Ukrainian and many foreign languages, documentary video and photographs collected after the scientist\u2019s death. These materials constitute the basis of the Reading Room of V.O. Sukhomlynskyi\u2019s Collection opened at the library in March 2003.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At present the document collection kept in the reading room holds nearly 5,000 items. Among them are:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>V.O. Sukhomlynskyi\u2019s works in the Ukrainian and 50 foreign languages;<\/li>\n<li>publications devoted to the teacher and materials concerning the use of the scientist\u2019s pedagogical heritage: scientific (monographs, collections of scientific works, materials of scientific conferences, dissertations, authors\u2019 abstracts of dissertations), informational (indexes, programmes, booklets), educational (textbooks, educational and methodical manuals) and reference publications (encyclopaedias, guides);<\/li>\n<li>publications (V.O. Sukhomlynskyi\u2019s articles and articles about him) issued in periodicals and their copies arranged in 50 files and kept in the reading room;<\/li>\n<li>electronic versions of the 5-volume set of selected works by V.O. Sukhomlynskyi (1976 \u2013 1977) and documentary films about the outstanding teacher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The reading room contains 217 items published in foreign languages. V.O. Sukhomlynskyi\u2019s Collection are the following books: \u201cVykhovannia kolektyvizmu u shkoliariv\u201d (\u201cTeaching Collectivism among Schoolchildren\u201d) (published in Serbian in 1960), \u201cVykhovannia komunistychnoho stavlennia do pratsi\u201d (\u201cTeaching Communist Attitude to Work\u201d) (published in Romanian in 1960 and German in 1961, 1963), \u201cDuma pro Liudynu\u201d (\u201cBallad about a Man\u201d) (published in Uzbek in 1964), \u201cPedahohichnyi kolektyv serednioyi shkoly\u201d (\u201cSecondary School Teaching Staff\u201d) (published in Japanese in 1968).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The collection contains a lot of editions about V.O.
