She worked as a teacher in Chernihiv region (Romny and Shchors) and Kyiv. She was a researcher and senior researcher in the Ukrainian Research Institute of Pedagogy. T. F. Buhaiko was a lecturer and head of the Department of Methods of Language and Literature at the Kyiv State O. Horkyi Teachers\u2019 Training Institute (M. Drahomanov National Teachers\u2019 Training University at present).<\/p>\n<p>In 1951, according to the resolution of the Ministry of Education of the Ukrainian SSR, T. F. Buhaiko was appointed chief editor of the Ukrainian educational <em>Literatura v shkoli<\/em> (Literature in school) journal (later the journal was renamed into <em>Ukrainska mova i literatura v shkoli<\/em> (Ukrainian Language and Literature in School); and now it is called <em>Dyvoslovo <\/em>(Exciting Word). She was a chief editor for four years, and then she remained an editorial board member of the journal till the end of her life.<\/p>\n<p>T. F. Buhaiko\u2019s research oeuvre is of great worth. She and her husband F. F.
